Summary: 18th Ave Thermal - Tauranga Pros - Easy parking - Sleeps 4 - 1 king - 2 singles (but only seats 3 ?) - Full size fridge/freezer - Kitchenette ( but very dated) Cons - very old and tired chalet type rooms - Not air conditioned - Not insulated as it’s hot inside while it’s only 20* outside. - Fans provided are so noisy you’ll never get to sleep - Not soundproofed so you hear your neighbor use the toilet - No fly screens - Totally Dysfunctional layout - Wash basin tap plumbed the wrong way - hot was cold and vise-versa. With a little effort this motel could be a great place to stay as it’s really close to a shopping centre and has parking right outside your room. Unfortunately it’s badly in need of renovations to revamp kitchen and ensuite and more importantly to insulate (acoustic + thermal) and air condition each room.
